About Our Plans
Please note all home designs shown in
this web
catalogue are copyright protected.
Reproduction of these home plans, either in whole or in
part — including
any derivative works — without the express permission of BC
Mountain Homes is strictly prohibited. Purchasers are granted license
to construct one home from a set of plans. Construction of
additional units will require purchase of additional licenses, which we will make available at a
reduced rate; contact us
for terms and conditions.
Modifications
Minor non-structural modifications and material
substitutions can usually be made to the plans by you and/or your
contractor. If more substantial structural changes are
required, the services of an designer, architect, or engineer may be necessary.
We are pleased to offer an in-house service for alterations to building
layout as well as for more extensive modifications. Please contact us
to discuss your proposed changes with one of our designers.
We'll be happy to provide you with
an estimate for design revisions. For more information about our
plan modiciation services, click here.
A Note on Building Codes
Our plans are designed to meet the requirements of the Building Code of
British Columbia and the International Residential Code. Purchasers
are urged to consult with local building authorities in their area to
obtain specific building code information and review requirements for
snow load, wind and seismic loads, and frost protection before estimating construction costs
and/or applying for a building permit.
Plan Prices
Plan prices are as indicated in our on-line catalogue. All prices are quoted
in both Canadian and US currency. US prices are calculated based on
current foreign exchange rates. Quoted Canadian plan prices and
shipping costs include GST.
Study sets are comprise scale floor plans,
cross sections, and
elevations views, and are intended for drawing review and the marking up of plan
modification options. The cost of the
study set will be credited toward the purchase
of a full set of plans or stock plan
modification.
Standard sets contain six
complete sets of construction drawings. Additional sets may be
purchased within six months at the specified price.
CAD files on CD-ROM will be in DWG
format and allow for changes to be made directly
to the digital file by the purchaser. The
purchaser may print as many plan sets as
necessary. CAD files entitle the purchaser
to one license to build only. Please
contact our office for the purchase for
additional license fees.
